Patrick is lab technician and IT-Admin of the department.He loves his job, because he can combine his profession and hobby. He is very interested in science, fascinated of technical innovations and computer hardware.
As lab technician he works independently on projects of Prof. Romanov, but also tries to support him as good as possible in his laboratory work. His task areas are mouse breeding, PCR-Analysis, cell culture incl. primary neurons, Ca2+ Imaging, Immunohistochemistry and Electrophysiological recordings from brain slices. In 2017 Patrick celebrated his 30 years service at the Center for Brain Research, MedUni Vienna.
